This piece is a potpourri of a bunch of my favorite things--Bach's Fugue in D minor, The J.S. Bach Experience (a Bach cover band), Guitar Hero, the movie Amadeus, and the wonderful back-and-forths found in the Warner Bros. shorts.

The story was quickly boarded out and timed to the music before any actual animation was done.

I did this (in 2000!) as an alternative to one of those wacky THX promo pieces that run before some movies. I really liked what they did with the Terminator and Toy Story ones and wanted to create a mini movie with a little story arc that would keep peoples' attention.

Everything was boarded out first, then I did an animatic to time everything out and trim where need be to keep the rendering time on the final version as low as possible.
